Even in the mini golf capital of the world, Mt. Atlanticus Minotaur Goff stands out, in part for its size. The two mini golf courses here offer a beautiful view of the Atlantic—hence the name, which conjures up a Mount Olympus on the shores of South Carolina. And indeed, you’ll feel like a god of leisure while hitting a colorful golf ball along the faux caves, islands, and fields here. The complex even includes a now-defunct department store, which has been retrofitted to feel like a mini golf grotto.

Mt. Atlanticus is a must-visit in the Myrtle Beach area, especially if you’re visiting with family or children. The courses include plenty of benches for waiting in case you’ve found yourself here on a warm summer night when the course is packed with golfers.

You’ll also find a pond with koi fish, a bubbling pool labeled the “miraculous fountain of youth,” a waterfall, and plenty of (plastic) mystical creatures appearing from the water. (For the shopping-inclined, there’s also an extensively stocked gift shop.) Both courses have a bonus 19th hole, where a hole in one will win you free mini golf for life. But even if you can’t sink your final ball, you’ll have a blast here.
