Eat and drink at a pub older than the Magna Carta

If you are looking for an authentic British pub experience in charming coastal seaside town, look no further than The Lamb Inn in Eastbourne, located roughly an hour from London by train. This local institution has been in operation since 1180.

You can feel the history seep through the walls of this public house. The low, beamed ceilings, dark wooden furniture and stone hearth fireplace are cozy and inviting. At the same time, you can almost sense the ghosts of patrons past seated next to you as you sip ale out of a metal cup.

Like so many pubs, The Lamb Inn offers the traditional Sunday roast of roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roasted veggies, and potatoes. But, Sunday Roast at The Lamb Inn is next level. This particular rendition of the classic is next-level, with generous portions and a heap of cheesy cauliflower included.

Know Before You Go

Not a meat eater? No problem. The Lamb Inn offers vegetarian "roast"options.
